Aberdeen-based Urquhart Partnership Holding Ltd today is delighted to announce its acquisition of award-winning brand and design agency Hampton Associates.
The seven-figure deal is largest ever investment made by the parent company of HR, training and recruitment consultancy, The Urquhart Partnership (UP).
The announcement adds to the excitement of an already busy year for the group, following the acquisition of Tide Studio (then known as DEER digital) in September 2013.
The big news means that UP, Tide Studio and Hampton Associates will be brought together as one group – the first of its kind in the UK – and are thrilled to be able to offer clients complementary expertise in the fields of HR, training and recruitment, alongside brand consultancy, digital and graphic design, and event management.
All three companies are very excited about the new opportunities that working together will bring.
Hampton Associates and UP have worked closely together for more than 15 years and the move means that Tide Studio will work alongside Hampton Associates, augmenting both organisations’ capabilities and resources.
Urquhart Partnership Holding Ltd Group Managing Director, Campbell Urquhart, said: “We genuinely see this deal as equally beneficial for all three businesses involved.
“We are a much stronger entity as a result of this transaction, offering our clients easier, and more efficient, access to a wide range of diverse, and yet, related services.”
Mike Hampton, Managing Director of Hampton Associates, who will remain with the business as a non-executive director, added: “We’ve always prided ourselves on being a progressive organisation that has actively sought and embraced change.
“We know and respect UP, and we have confidence in our proven ability to work together, creating a company that is simply unmatched in the marketplace.”
Scott Hunter, Hampton Associates’ Creative Director will become the Urquhart Partnership Holding Ltd Group Creative Director.
He said: “What’s particularly exciting about this deal is the opportunities it presents, not only to further enhance and develop our offering, specifically in terms of the digital sphere, but it also gives our people real opportunities to advance their careers.
“This positions us as one of the most powerful design and brand consultancies in Scotland. Frankly, we have never been stronger.”
Campbell and Scott are joined on the Senior Management Team by Karen Reid, Group Commercial Director and Sharon Jack, Group Business Support Services Director.
We’re delighted to be bringing you such fantastic news and be sure to keep an eye on the blog for more updates on our work together!
