People and businesses the world over rely on the power of networking. Whether it be attending a specific networking event or lunch, or these days,  networking online through platforms such as LinkedIn.

Regardless of whether you are out there to network your business – from creating leads and opportunities to promoting your brand – or there to promote yourself and seek connections for career opportunities, your networking skills need to be effective to succeed.

If you are looking for tips and advice on to maximise the impact of your networking efforts, then an event being held next week might be just the one for you!

Networking – top tips from those in the know, will be held on Wednesday 19th September at the New Library at Kings College, Aberdeen University from 6-8pm.

Our own Managing Director, Campbell Urquhart and Judith Thorpe of Thorpe Molloy Recruitment will both be speaking at the event to share their knowledge and experience of networking.

Campbell will be discussing the benefits of online networking using Social Media both as a tool for building and maintaining relationships, whilst Judith will speak about her own experience on the benefits of networking in a customer/client focused industry.

The event will, of course, include its own networking session, so you can put any new tips you learn into practice!

A few places are still available at the session, if you should wish to attend please contact Christina Blakey on 01224 273721 or email c.blakey@abdn.ac.uk
