The Art of Engagement…
Businesses are waking up in their droves to the fact that social media can generate tangible business opportunities and they are staring to jump on the bandwagon.
Problem is, jumping on a bandwagon for the sake of it can be a complete waste of time, energy and effort; for most businesses, social media needs to be less social and much more business.
There are lots of social media events, seminars and training workshops available, but most are either based around “How to use…” a particular media or provide a generic overview.
So that’s where we had an idea; lets run a seminar specifically about generating more business using social media…
Manchester is the digital media hub for the UK so it made sense to us to get an expert from that neck of the woods up to Aberdeen to share some words of wisdom.
Having had an office in Manchester for the last 4 years has allowed us to expand our network (funnily enough, a lot through using social media…) and so we now know lots of people that we think could deliver an interesting and very useful seminar. That’s where one of our well-known contacts, Dave comes in…
Dave Edmundson-Bird is the Principal Lecturer in Digital Marketing & Enterprise and Course Leader for the MSc in Digital Marketing Communications at Manchester Metropolitan University. He is responsible for leadership of his subject areas across their teaching, research and commercial activities. He acts as Course Director for 2 e-Consultancy Masters programmes in Digital Marketing Communications and Internet Retailing. He is also responsible for business development and accreditation in learning products in marketing, digital, PR and social media.
