Celebrate Aberdeen

The Urquhart Partnership are supporting an exciting charity parade that’s taking place in Aberdeen at 11am on 11th June 2011.

Celebrate Aberdeen will see more than a thousand people parading down union street from charity and community based organisations along with a wide array of street entertainers – we already have well over 1000 people registered to take part and almost 100 charities signed up and are expecting this to almost double by the event date.

You’ll get more details at  www.celebrateaberdeen.org.

We now need your help if possible with any or ideally all of the following:

Sponsorship – From the 7th of March onwards we will be starting to look for company sponsors to ensure the charities and community groups can take part at no cost.  Cost of this will be £500 ex VAT although we will happily accept anything more than this. 🙂

Sponsorship will allow us all to celebrate the work and effort of the third sector in Aberdeen and thank the thousands of staff and volunteers for their invaluable efforts. You’ll get full details of what the sponsorship package covers by clicking here.

If you are interested in becoming a sponsor email me at cu@upwebsite.com

Secondly, help spread the word – if you are unable to help with sponsorship, can you please pass a link to this page or the website address on to anyone you think might be interested in sponsoring this or even talking part. That will only take a minute or two of your time but may make a huge difference to the event itself.

You’ll can also find Celebrate Aberdeen on facebook – click here and twitter – click here

Finally, you can actually take part. As a sponsor you will get the chance to take part in the parade itself if you want or you can simply turn up on the day look on as a spectator with colleagues, family or friends.

Hopefully you can help contribute in some way as we aim to create one of the most memorable and spectacular events Union Street has ever seen.
